Calavera > I liked the way the light was hitting this detail of a flute player statue at the Huntington Gardensat

Calavera > My 1st foray into RAW
Calavera > My brain refused to work today. Seemed like every attempt at a picture just fell flat. Then I found out I had 5 pictures accepted for publication in "Life Images" magazine for their spring issue...the adrenalin churned out this sucker. While I was playing with Filters in PS Element (6.0), I realized I could flip this flower image and then apply the Polar Coordinates filter...the end result is either something from "Alien", Fireworks, A Fountain, or some fingerpainting my son did when he was about 5 yrs old.
Calavera > After seeing some of John's pix of England, I wanted to be back there...if the exchange rate were more favorable. This is a shot of a house on the Stour(?) river in Canterbury...autumn. Such a beautiful place...reminds me of the Byrds' song, "Get to You"..."It's a bright time of year, all the trees are golden brown..."
Calavera > We were walking around Encinitas and I came across this reference to Jackson Browne's "Running on Empty"...love it
Calavera > A very old and battered house in Babylon NY. If it wasn't for the boxes stored upstairs, this could be from a "Little Rascals" short.
Calavera > Old Town...I've lost my mind...if word ever gets out about this place the GLF (Gnome Liberation Front---it really does exist) will have a field day. I actully have some nice beach landscapes, but today I'm going with a few shots of interesting gnomes. How often do you see a gnome with a cow?
