8/20...thought about a separate gallery...but for now, here are some shots of our excursion to Downtown LA...I haven't been there in a thousand years. The Disnesy concert hall is a mindblower...hint: if you're going to shoot there , go in the early morning or late evening. This is the most visually challenging building I have ever seen...hope you like the shots. More to come.8/15...Forgive me. I picked up some materials on "No Budget" Studio Tips...I made my wife come with me to the crafts store to pick up some background material and some plastic (for diffusion)..This has been my Achilles heel so far so I'm going to develop some studio techniques or die trying. Here are the first results. 8/11...Some pix of murals in Venice Beach CA...a funky little coastal town near LA...8/10...It's pet's day...two of our cats...Ren and Stimpy...yes, named when my son and I were into the show. Ren is still with us (a lard butt at 22 lbs.)...Stimpy has gone on, but she was a most wonderful cat.
7/26... I was surprised at the response to this shot. I tried to convey the sadness that such a beautiful beast must have in carrying "tourists" around all day...At the same time, his handlers actually seemed sadder...but I wasn't fast enough to capture this. The elephant's look...seemed to convey a sentiment that we all feel..."it could be worse"...This elephant was the first and last thing I saw at the Fair...it seemed as if he didn't want to be there.
