For sometime now, I've been trying to establish a theme or motif that seems to characterize my better (open to question, I suspect) photos. I revisited all of the comments that the smugmug community (particularly my friends on the Daily Photo community. If there was a dominant perspective, it might me that my photos tend to have a mood or atmosphere. I'll buy that, but I'll try and take it a step further...consciously or unconsciously, I seem to be drawn to scenes that are grounded in painting, so maybe I've blurred some boundaries...anyhow, this is a collection of shots that try to illustrate what I'm blabbering about...Did want to take this opportunity to everyone who has been kind enough to provide their feedback.

Calavera > These twigs against the wall of an Oakdale LI church stood out against the red wall and the green hostas.
Calavera > This was a scan of a picture taken in Venice from our hotel window. The rain really brought out the colors on the roof tiles.
