For sometime now, I've been trying to establish a theme or motif that seems to characterize my better (open to question, I suspect) photos. I revisited all of the comments that the smugmug community (particularly my friends on the Daily Photo community. If there was a dominant perspective, it might me that my photos tend to have a mood or atmosphere. I'll buy that, but I'll try and take it a step further...consciously or unconsciously, I seem to be drawn to scenes that are grounded in painting, so maybe I've blurred some boundaries...anyhow, this is a collection of shots that try to illustrate what I'm blabbering about...Did want to take this opportunity to everyone who has been kind enough to provide their feedback.
After seeing some of John's pix of England, I wanted to be back there...if the exchange rate were more favorable. This is a shot of a house on the Stour(?) river in Canterbury...autumn. Such a beautiful place...reminds me of the Byrds' song, "Get to You"..."It's a bright time of year, all the trees are golden brown..."
