To see a world in a grain of sand
And a heaven in a wild flower
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand
And eternity in an hour.

Calavera > Although I can remember how much fun these rides were when I was young, I have no desire to recreate my youth here...the range of swirls on this time exposure might give you an idea of the violent movement.
Calavera > We were down at the San Clemente Pier today before the storm hits. Wasn't sure I'd like this shot until I saw the boy walking between the pilings...don't know why...just made the shot for me
Calavera > Ren is such a gentle soul...he lives for kitty treats and tummy rubs...for anything else, he would have to move , so that's out.
Calavera > rain is rare here in SoCal...rainbows are rarer...if you look at a larger version of this shot, you might see the double rainbow (even rarer) in the upper right hand corner...this was especially cool since the end of the rainbow was in our neighbor's front yard...you might think, that, as adults, we would understand the scientific basis of the term "chasing rainbows?"
Calavera > Some PS fun with Invert and Colorizing for this Cactus shot.
Calavera > Lots of rain this weekend. When it would stop, the winds would pick up so any hopes for some decent macro shots were dashed...soooo...why not curl up with a fire and a good book?
Calavera > This is a scan of a very old (ca 1976) shot I took at a Steve Goodman concert at the (long gone) Golden Bear in Huntington Beach CA. Goodman was at his best in concert when you never knew what might come next and he just loved music...one of the most accomplished folk guitarists of his time, he passed away from leukemia in 1982. His disease had been with him for many years and it obviously formed his positive view of life. I still miss him despite a plethora of available music, but my memory was jarred when I heard a 1977 concert from the Bottom Line in NYC broadcast on Wolfgang's Vault...a must visit website for boomers and anyone else interested in ancient history
Calavera > You don't see this very often
Calavera > A decent overview of the scope of the restaurant
