To see a world in a grain of sand
And a heaven in a wild flower
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand
And eternity in an hour.

Calavera > I was taking some closeup flower shots yesterday at the CSUF Arboretum when I turned around and there was this egret, not more than 8 feet from me...hunting. No time to change lenses, so this was shot with a 60mm Nikon Macro lens...that little lump in his throat? It's a lizard, and not more than two minutes later, he nailed another one. Memo to self...invest in a decent telephoto lens
Calavera > I saw this today at the CSUF Arboretum...just made me think of how good your clothes smelled after getting dried on a line outside instead of a dryer
Calavera > I liked the way the light was hitting this detail of a flute player statue at the Huntington Gardensat
Calavera > We were walking around Encinitas and I came across this reference to Jackson Browne's "Running on Empty"...love it
Calavera > Tomorrow is looking pretty hectic, so I wanted to get a jump for the Daily shot...this is a succulent from our backyard...just liked the lighting
Calavera > Burano is a small fishing village on an island near Venice, Italy. Although we got soaked, the rain really brought out the bright vibrant colors. This a scan of a film shot and I would love to go back there armed with a digital camera
Calavera > Looks like a blue whale? Always wanted to use the "Byrd" as a substitute for the correct spelling...my favorite group of all time
Calavera > Road trip to San Diego today, so lots of processing. Also found out I'll have my first one man show (I'll believe it when I see it)...the move from simple printing and framing to gallery level is intimidating and $$$$$...but what the hey. So, this is an oldie from the Cotswalds in England...I could live there in a heartbeat...just love the old doors, gardens, and wysteria
Calavera > I've tried this shot a couple of ways, but this one is my favorite, I just like the ines and the soft tones...its a very relaxing shot (to me)
